Know Thyself

Know Thyself

Recently, I posted the chart of Nick Vujicic ( https://www.astrosaxena.com/articles/LWL ) in the class group for analysis and discussion by students.

Then a thought struck me that if I didn’t know who Nick is, could I or anyone predict his physical condition just from the chart?

As I see, the most honest answer will be NO.

Also, many children were born around the same date, time, and place with similar Scorpio ascendant charts. Did they all face the same physical challenges?

Again - NO.

If that had happened, it would have become world news.

Then, could any astrologer in 1982 have predicted that children born that month would have such a difficult physical life?

Again - NO.

So, if through astrology we can’t accurately read past events or future events in such cases, what is its real purpose?

And when predictions sometimes still come true, why do they come true?

Here, we have to go back to Gunas of Nature; i.e. Tamas, Rajas and Satva. As discussed earlier, predictions come true only under any of these situations –

  • Tamasic Prominent Astrologer making a prediction and Tamasic Prominent Client is working on it (90% times). Or
  • Rajasic Prominent Astrologer making a prediction and Rajasic Prominent Client is working on it (9% times). Or
  • Satvic Prominent Astrologer making a prediction and Satvic Prominent Client is working on it (1% times).

Tamasic predictions succeed most frequently because Tamas requires no effort or awareness. It is the easiest Guna to operate from.

Now, why aforementioned circumstances can bring prediction to manifestation?

Because the person was already inclined toward their dominant Guna. The prediction simply gives an extra push in the direction they were anyway going.

If you want to test what I am saying here then just shuffle this arrangement as follows and see the results -

  • Give a Satvic advice or prediction to a Tamasic person.
  • Give a Rajasic advice or prediction to a Satvic person.
  • Give a Tamasic advice or prediction to a Rajasic person.

99.99% of the time, they won’t even understand the advice.

Thus, when a prediction comes true, it’s not brilliance. It simply means the Guna levels of astrologer and client matched.

And if a Tamasic prediction comes true because someone blindly followed it — it is a matter of shame, not pride.  It means life is being lived like a puppet.

This is why I wrote that ideally, we must become unpredictable:  https://www.astrosaxena.com/articles/BeUnpredictable .

For unconscious people, prediction is easy. If you know the last one year of their life, you can predict the next decade — they simply repeat themselves.

If 90% predictions come true, it simply means: 90% people are living mechanically.

For an awakened person, prediction is impossible. He lives moment-to-moment, making conscious choices. An enlightened being is inherently unpredictable.

Now, if prediction is not the true purpose of Occult Subjects then what is?

The evolved use of Astrology, Numerology, Palmistry and Tarot is simply: To Know Thyself.

Know your Guna composition. Know your level of evolution.

Astrology shows you the options available. Your reactions show your prominent Guna.

So, follow Occult only to know where you are standing right now and what are the options available to divert the energy towards better or more evolved actions or overall life.

Example:

If I get into a physical fight, astrology shows I used Mars in a Tamasic way.

The same Mars can be used for courage, protection, discipline, compassion.

Awareness of options naturally moves you toward higher possibilities. As I say, Awareness is the key to evolution.

As per my very initial experience of learning Tarot Cards Reading, Tarot also reveals the sub-conscious mind of the questioner more than external predictions

As I see, an occultist job is to first find out at which Guna level person is functioning then advise him accordingly to bring Gunas into balance. For example,

  • If person is functioning at Tamasic Prominent Guna then Occultist must advise him about the ways by which he can divert the energies into Rajasic or Satvic Gunas in order to bring them in balance.
  • If person is functioning at Rajasic Prominent Guna then Occultist must advise him about the ways by which he can divert the energies into Tamasic (inertia/rest) or Satvic Gunas in order to bring them in balance.
  • If person is functioning at Satvic Prominent Guna then Occultist must advise him about the ways by which he can divert the energies into Rajasic or Tamasic (inertia/rest) Gunas in order to bring them in balance.
  • Occultist should do it, regardless of the fact if counselee takes any such actions or not. At least, counselee cannot say later that none guided me properly.

Finally, the closure words with Osho –

“Future prediction is not possible. Let it sink in within you.

The mind wants certainty, and life is not obliged to fulfill the demands of the mind.

Life is an open phenomenon — absolutely open, unpredictable.

That is its beauty.

If the future could be predicted, then everything would already be dead.

If tomorrow is already fixed, then what is the point of living today?

There would be no adventure, no surprise, no discovery.

You would simply drag through a mechanical repetition of something already written.

The priests, astrologers, palmists — they all exploit the fear of the unknown.

The unknown is not against you; it is your freedom.

Because the future is not fixed, you can transform yourself.

Because nothing is predetermined, awakening is possible.

Freedom is possible.

Remember this: the more conscious you become, the more you understand that no prediction can contain life.

Life is a river, flowing moment to moment, and each moment brings infinite possibilities.

To live in those possibilities is to live in God.

To cling to predictions is to live in fear.

Rejoice that the future is open.

Rejoice that nothing is certain.

Rejoice that existence has not given you a prison of destiny, but the spacious sky of freedom.”

Gratitude!!!
