Reflections on Recent and Current Difficult Transits

Recently, one of my students Mansha Mishra ( https://www.youtube.com/@AstroMansha ) asked for my astrological opinion on the recent chaotic events, accidents and crashes etc. I tried to give my opinion largely based on recent and current difficult transit of Mars in Gemini/Cancer (https://www.astrosaxena.com/articles/MarsDirectandRetrogradeTransitsinGeminiandCancerin2024-25 and https://www.astrosaxena.com/articles/MarsTransitinCancer2024-25) and Leo ( https://astrosaxena.com/articles/TransitofMarsinLeoin2025 ). Then somehow I felt that this information will be useful for all my students, so I happened to post it in whatsapp group.

 

Then a few responses were made which I interpret as – in absence of more clarity, this seems like connecting dots after the event is over which is easy. People in general also have this question or confusion that if transits are difficult then why everyone is not facing such destructive events as transits are same for all. Yet another response was that It is not humanly possible to predict events. As there was a desire to have more clarity on this topic as to where the precise event will happen and where it will not, I preferred to give my views through this article.

 

On surface, these look like great responses and some other astrologer may go on a deep research on these questions but for someone like me who gives so much emphasis on Gunas of Nature (Tamas, Rajas and Satva) and on human consciousness working through Gunas, the fact that these responses again came up is a surprise for me. In last few years, I have written and taught so much on Gunas that I didn’t expect myself to write over it all over again, but I guess we love to surprise each other.

 

I thought that responding in group may not be feasible as it is going to be a very detailed article and same doubts/questions can be there with people at large, so it is better to write a proper article on it.

 

First, let me put across the fact on which I agree; i.e. Prediction of Events is not humanly possible. I definitely agree on this and I have said the same thing from my posts/articles and through quotes of Osho many a times. Reason is simple that Human Consciousness is always evolving. In that situation, it is impossible to know at what level someone is functioning right now to make precise prediction.

 

Now, let’s understand the remaining part –

 

First of all, the initial question was asked to me after the chaotic events have already happened. So, my analysis was based on the knowledge that event has already taken place and nothing can be done about it now to reverse the event.

 

Now, situation would have been completely different if someone asks the question about possibility of any event in future. Then analysis would have been completely different.

 

When question itself is asked in retrospect then how analysis can be in prospect of any event?

 

Arjuna is in grief before the war. Guidance for him is Witnessing and Non-Doer state. But King Ashoka is in grief after the war. Guidance for him is Sannyas. I hope this clears a lot.

 

But real problem is with Human Mind which never wants to wake-up; neither before the event nor after the event.

 

From mid-2023, I started posting things about Mars transit in Gemini/Cancer in Aug, 2024 and all the care and awareness we should exercise to safely sail through that transit. At that time, the feedback/messages/comments I used to get were like – ohh you are spreading fear in people; you are spreading negativity; you are incurring karma; darao mat; why to be fearful from now only, we will see whatever happens then only; ohhh, who changes life plans due to one transit?

 

And now, if I post something on results of a difficult Mars transit then it is as easy as connecting the dots which anyone can do.

 

What if I tell you that next retrograde transit of Mars will again involve Cancer sign from Dec, 2026 to May, 2027? I am sure 90% of people will again respond that why are you spreading fear from now only, we will see it then only?

 

In my experience as an astrologer, people who first refrain from listening to any prediction out of fear are actually the same people who later say that – “if anyone had told us before then we would have done this or that”.

 

Basically, human mind wants to say that please don’t wake me up; neither before the event nor after the event.

 

During last one year, I advised many people to delay their marriage, business plans and other events in the light of difficult transit of Mars. At that time, many of them didn’t listen and now when they are suffering due to their wrong decisions and asking me questions and I am trying to tell that it is result of same Mars transit then it seems only connecting the dots, as per them.

 

So, what we are missing here?

 

Understand it like this, before the event if a prediction is made then it is what we should do. Along with planets, chart, dasha and transits, one most important factor which is involved is human consciousness. An astrologer should be trying to guide the human consciousness towards Rajasic or Satvic possibilities during that time. All possibilities are still in hand and person can take action in any direction (Tamasic, Rajasic or Satvic). So, human consciousness is key again as it can function through any of these windows.

 

But when analysis is asked after the actions are taken and event had already happened then all we are left with planets, charts, dasha and transits. Human Consciousness has already acted as per one of the Gunas as per its own choice and other options/choices are gone. Now, results are bound to follow. Then analysis is left with connecting the dots only as the most important factor of human consciousness already got exhausted.

 

Now, question that why everyone is not facing same issue if transits are same for all?

 

It is because again everyone is at a different Gunas level and exercising his options as per his level of consciousness. Thankfully, everyone is not Ted Bundy or Adolf Hitler.

 

More people are aware, they can utilize the same transit in more creative pursuits.

More people are sleepy, they can utilize the same transit in more destructive pursuits.

A Few Examples –

 

Now, 9/11 Attacks are best example to convey what I am trying to say. If you research little bit on 9/11 attacks, you will find that total 4 Air Planes were hijacked. Passengers of 3 of them were not aware that what is happening? They might have thought it is hijacking to get some demands fulfilled by hijackers. Eventually, Suicide Attackers accomplished their goal by hitting their targets. But when it came to UAL Flight 93, somehow passengers of that flight came to know that Air Plane is being used as Suicide Attack weapon and these passengers force-crashed the Flight 93 before its target.

 

Likewise, during Bhopal Gas Tragedy, Rajkumar Keshwani and a few people who were aware of precautionary measures to be taken in case of Gas Leak, they survived. And those who never paid any heed to Keshwani’s advice, suffered.

 

Now, this should answer as to why everyone is not facing same result during difficult dasha and transit? A little bit of awareness from passengers of Flight 93 changed its destiny from the other 3 Flights. A little bit of awareness from Keshwani changed his fate in Bhopal Gas Tragedy.

 

So, what was the difference? Planets? Charts? Transits? Or Awareness/Consciousness? Transits were same for all 4 flights during 9/11 and for whole of Bhopal on that fateful night. How one flight went on a different path? How a few people could save themselves despite being at the same locality where Gas was leaked? Only through awareness. As Osho says, you cannot be same person again once you become conscious.

 

So, when destiny of 1 out of 4 flights can be different then we all are at different awareness/consciousness path during different planetary transits which would bring different results for all of us.

 

From Aug, 2024 to June, 2025, I almost stopped my social interactions which helped me to reduce my disagreements to minimum. I didn’t make any plan for travel or visit and cancelled those which were in process of being made. In an earlier Mars retro transit again, I didn’t drive for 6 months. So, I again reduced my chances of accidents or injuries.

 

For anyone else, these can be the acts coming out of fear but for me, these were the acts coming out of awareness. So, if someone is suffering due to a difficult transit then probably he is making Tamasic Choices during that time.

 

Now, coming back to original question. So, during recent transit of Mars in Gemini/Cancer, why everyone didn’t have accidents or injuries etc.? Answer is that the ones who chose to stay aware, utilized the transit in positive pursuits. When almost all major countries are bombing each other from last 1 year, there were many who went to Olympics too and won Medals there.

 

Why current transit of Mars-Ketu in Leo is not bringing fire accidents and crashes for everyone? Answer is again that the ones who chose to stay aware are again utilizing this transit in a better way. If an Air Plane crashed then we have to accept that people responsible for its proper functioning were unaware of malfunctioning in the Air Craft. Tamas led to Destruction. With little more awareness, such incidents can easily be avoided. It looks like people who are responsible for proper functioning of other Air Crafts are more aware, thankfully. Awareness is everything.

 

Again, we have to take human consciousness into consideration when we are trying to interpret any planetary positions. When such destructive events happen then we have to accept that consciousness was overlapped by Tamas. As I always say in sessions related with Gunas, we are considering everything; i.e. Planets, Signs, Houses and Nakshatras etc. but somehow we conveniently forget the person and his consciousness level utilizing these energies. Mars-Ketu in Leo can be extremely good for creative research but not good for posing our ego in front of everyone.

 

Maybe, we ourselves want to forget to consider human consciousness. Just to avoid the factor of responsibility. So that we can blame everything on Planets. Or maybe, we like to keep this illusion that we are already functioning at highest level of consciousness and it is never our own mistake. It is always planets’ mistake.

 

Now, let me cover a few other questions which may again come up after this article?

  • What is the mistake of those who suffer in such incidents? – Their only mistake is that they let a Tamasic person or Group have all the power. Germans only mistake during WW2 was that they allowed someone like Hitler to usurp all the power. When you give powers in hands of Tamasic people, this itself is an indication that you are at Tamasic prominent level. When a head of a family is of a criminal mindset then other family members are bound to suffer as long as this head of family has all the powers to take decision.
  • If world is in a mess right now then it is because the power is in the hands of Tamasic people and becoming a local politician is more important than being a Buddha. Now, if a tamasic person is taking a decision, obviously it will be a destructive decision for all.
  • Even with events like Hiroshima and Nagasaki Nuclear Bombing, Universe is trying to guide us that you cannot give so much power in hands of Tamasic Politicians.
  • But how can we make sure that everyone we are relying on is functioning at higher levels of consciousness? – I agree, we can’t. That’s where the concept of Destiny/Fate comes into play - https://astrosaxena.com/articles/Destiny. That’s where I say that act as consciously as you can and then accept whatever is result as your destiny.

 

Again, I agree that predictions are not humanly possible and the reason is that human consciousness is free. It can switch between Gunas at any time. That is also consciousness’ greatest privilege that it can make choices. We can say that predictions come true only under any of these situations –

  • Tamasic Astrologer making a prediction and Tamasic Client is working on it. Or
  • Rajasic Astrologer making a prediction and Rajasic Client is working on it. Or
  • Satvic Astrologer making a prediction and Satvic Client is working on it

 

Then why to follow astrology? – Just to know all your options. So that, you should not be saying that I had a fight with someone and we broke each other’s head as Mars was in Cancer that day. That Mars represents a lot of other things too, why you didn’t do other creative activities.

 

So, it is important to raise the consciousness at a higher level within given time else all we have to do later is connecting the dots.
